The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) implements development programs and provides humanitarian assistance in over 100 countries worldwide. USAID has been operating in Russia since 1992, working in partnership with Russian and international organizations in the areas of health, social welfare, civil society, rule of law, local governance, regional development, and conflict mitigation.

The Open Society Institute


The Open Society Institute (OSI) is a private operating and grantmaking foundation that serves as the hub of the Soros foundations network, a group of autonomous foundations and organizations in more than 50 countries. OSI and the network implement a range of initiatives that aim to promote open societies by shaping government policy and supporting education, media, public health, and human and women's rights, as well as social, legal, and economic reform.

GLOBUS Project


The aim of the GLOBUS Project is to bring about an effective national strategy to counter the HIV/AIDS epidemic. The project is supported financially by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and encompasses ten Russian regions.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is committed to promoting greater equity in global health, education, public libraries, and support for at-risk families in Washington state and Oregon.
