On September 22-25, Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GBC) experts held a set of events with companies working in Ukraine. Among companies were GBC member East One, companies that are members of French Foreign Trade Advisors (FFTA) in Ukraine and others.
In the framework of continuing collaboration, HEALTH@WORK Program Training of Trainers was held for a group of HR managers and corporate trainers of Auchan, Lafarge Gyps, Ukrsibbank, Hexagone, Nestle, and Gefko. The training was hosted by Bank Calyon. Separate corporate trainings were held for Calyone Bank Ukraine, and Hexagone. HR managers of Auchan and Hexagone that are planning their comprehensive corporate programs on HIV for 2009-2010 have met with GBC specialists to determine objectives and priorities.
This is the third event that GBC organizes in cooperation with FFTA. Cooperation that started early in 2009 has led to several companies declaring their commitment to fight HIV/AIDS and reduce its burden in Ukraine through corporate engagement in the fight.
Companies expressed strong interest in undertaking HIV initiatives. Collaboration will continue further in 2010.
