Shell Employees Participate in the Brand New Seminar for Families from the HEALTH@WORK Program

Event Date: 12/10/2009 - 12/14/2009
Event Location: Moscow, Russia

On December 10th and 14th, Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GBC) held its first official seminar for families “How to Talk to Your Kids about HIV/AIDS and Other Tough Issues” for Shell Corporation employees. The seminar’s goal is to take the message of HIV prevention and non-discrimination into communities, namely to employee families. The objectives of the seminar included reviewing basic facts about HIV/AIDS, becoming familiarized with children’s developmental stages and parents getting tips about how to share age-appropriate messages about HIV prevention and non-discrimination with their children.

Thirteen employees from different departments attended this interactive seminar for families. Very positive feedback from the participants was received. In the evaluation every participant noted that seminar was interesting and useful for them, and that they will recommend this seminar to their colleagues.
